3. The Cryptic Messages In End-Cards

Much like the evil heavy metal bands of decades past, who would leave cryptic Satanic messages in their music in order to corrupt the Christian youth, the Always Sunny crew also like to leave similar secrets in their own content. This messaging can be found within the end-card of each season.

When the RCG (Rob, Charlie, Glenn) logo appears, you’ll hear a strange, unintelligible voice speaking in the background. As with the aforementioned devil music, if you play these noises backwards, you’ll receive the secret message that the three lead writers have recorded. The first of these simply says, “You’re stupid for playing this forward.”

Strangely, the end-cards for future seasons almost all contain the word, “brown.” These messages include, “Clown baby, brown clown clown baby, brown clown,” “Next stop- Brown Town,” “Make it brown,” and “The browning’s will continue.”

This is more thank likely just some funny in-joke between the cast and crew, but it does lead us to question if “browning out” part of this weird, overlapping brown patter. Were there meetings and debates around how best to include their beloved brown? How deep does this rabbit hole go?
