Chris and Ann's rocky relationship was one of the more unpredictable of Parks' many, many romantic entanglements, but after seasons of will-they-won't-they drama, the two eventually received the family and stability they both deserved. Ann's pregnancy provided a particular high point of this arc, with her bond with Leslie growing even stronger and Chris' maturation into a rather showing him grappling with his anxiety.

It wouldn't be a pregnancy in a comedy show without some baby name shenanigans though, and Parks dealt with this cliche in a surprisingly heartwarming and hilarious way. Before they know the sex of their baby, Chris comments that their recent scan made their child look "the size of a green olive," to which Ann replies "You know, Olive is kind of a cute name. If it's a girl."

Ann and Chris leave the show before the baby is actually born, but they do find out they're having a boy before leaving Pawnee. The next time Leslie's best friend shows up, she brings her newborn son, who they've named Oliver. It turns out they managed to make the name fit regardless of the sex.
