12 Worst TV Shows Of 2018

6. Life Sentence

Life Sentence
The CW

Life Sentence was an offputting show from the jump, attempting to distance itself from "sappy cancer movies" from its very first episode despite following an extremely similar through-line.

This dramedy about a young woman (Lucy Hale) receiving a miracle cure for her terminal cancer is no less saccharine or sappy than the weepie illness-of-the-week movies it openly mocks.

Lucy Hale is plenty charming in the lead role, but between this and the atrocious horror movie Truth or Dare, she sure struggled to lock down worthy projects in 2018.

With major tonal issues and hilariously obvious musical choices to accompany its trite, hackneyed melodrama, Life Sentence only exceeded 500,000 viewers twice during its 13-episode run, and was unsurprisingly canned before the season even finished airing.
