13 Badass Doctor Who Moments That Made Us All Cheer
3. Assault On Demons Run
In the episode, A Good Man Goes to War, a lot of time was spent hyping up the Doctor's assault on an a military base called Demon's Run to rescue Amy. The episode built on the mythology of the Doctor; how his enemies fears him as a demon or a god. All the while, the Doctor raises an army for the inevitable confrontation. While the enemy army were hyping themselves for war, the Doctor suddenly appeared right in front of them with the audience cheers in toe. The Doctor told them they could put their guns at him if it would help them relax. He then told Amy pond to get her coat. The lights suddenly went out. When it got switched on, the Doctor was gone. Paranoia and fear started to overwhelm the enemy soldiers and they started to attack each other. The Colonel had to intervene, convincing his soldiers to drop the all their weapons so not to kill each other, explaining that, them killing each other is part of the Doctor's plan, and they are not fools to let him do that. The moment they did, what heartless audience member didn't get off his seat to raise his hands as the Doctor's army suddenly appears to surround the enemies like the fools that they were? The Doctor neutralized the remaining defenses and ends the assault, all with little to no casualties from both sides. All the Colonel had to do was order his men to runaway.
Once upon a time, Jon ended up in a huge dark room with a giant screen... and he never left.
