Designated Survivor is the show that caused the most buzz at Upfronts back in May, with its trailer the most exciting of the new fall shows, and that hasn't really died away as we near its premiere.

The series will see Sutherland's Tom Kirkman, a low ranking Cabinet member, thrust into the biggest job in the world after a devastating attack on Washington kills the President and most of the other high-ranking government officials, with Kirkman the 'designated survivor'. The attack, however, is just the beginning of what's to come, not the end. There's an interesting concept, a star seemingly made for this, and in an election year the political aspect is likely to feel pretty timely.
