13 Reasons Why Season 3: Ranking Every Character From Worst To Best
8. Tony Padilla
Tony found himself having to play multiple roles this season.
Naturally, all the attention surrounding Clay in the investigation into Bryce's death ensured that he quickly resumed his role as his protective best friend and, as a result, he was on-hand to help whenever he was needed - even if he should have been keeping out of law-related matters.
Speaking of law-related matters, he also took it upon himself to serve as a mentor and friend to Tyler in the aftermath of his foiled attack on the Spring Fling, helping him channel his anger and frustration into boxing instead.
That said, Tony's most compelling story this season was his own. While that shouldn't come as a surprise given that his own narratives have always been his strongest, this time it revolved around his entire family - as the Padillas' involvement in the Bakers' trial resulted in Mr. Walker getting them deported.
Between attempting to save his family and save his best friend, Tony was stuck in the middle of just about everything, and while as a person he was breaking his heart, as a character he was thriving - providing us with multiple compelling scenes throughout the season.
