15. Mr. Porter
One of the season's two unexpected returns, Liberty's former guidance counsellor Mr. Kevin Porter was drafted in by the Sheriff's Department in an attempt to build a case against Clay Jensen. However, he used that opportunity to intentionally call upon people that he knew would defend the wrongly-accused Clay.
While he didn't stick around, the fact that he attempted to help both Clay and Tyler and, as we discovered through Ani's retrospective account of her time in the Walker house, even attempted to help Bryce, he highlighted that he was indeed a good man who was continuing to try and redeem himself for not helping Hannah in the way that she needed him to.
