13 Reasons Why Season 4: 7 Big Questions We Need Answers To
1. Is There Really Any Need For Another Season?
Ever since 13 Reasons Why was renewed for a second season, Netflix has been on the wrong end of a ton of criticism simply because they were unnecessarily prolonging a story that had already been wrapped up. In spite of that, the critically reviled second season arrived and, lo and behold, ended with a cliffhanger - meaning that, yes, the show was destined to return once again.
That said, Season 3 proved to be a sort of comeback for the show that, following that conclusion of its refreshingly different story, took the time to wrap almost everything up - and, like the Season 1 finale, could have served as a series finale.
With all that in mind, do we really need another season? Granted, Season 4 will indeed be the final one but, given how its predecessor took the time to conclude all the major plot points, it's going to have its work cut out for it in terms of justifying its own existence. And since we've been here before - unsuccessfully with Season 2 and somewhat successfully with Season 3 - it's imperative that the final season gives us something different that proves, in spite of everything, Season 4 has a purpose.
