4. The Nod To Hannah

We're going to talk about the show's attempt to bring closure to its narrative in more detail later, but right now, this writer just wants to acknowledge the fact that it took one last chance to pay tribute to Hannah Baker.

Without giving too much away, the final episode makes reference to Hannah, her tapes and even goes so far as to feature a cameo appearance through recycled footage (and Clay's knack for seeing ghosts).

Even though the unnecessarily ambitious plot threads made it seem otherwise, Hannah was always a part of this story because it all began with her, so it was only fitting that her presence played a part in the series finale.
