8. It's Frustrating How Many Times The Gang Mess Up
Example Episode: Dennis and Dee Go On Welfare This episode fomr season three exemplifies what the series would become, once the plotting got knottier and the social commentary sharpened. When Dennis and Dee leave Paddy's and discover they can make more money from government benefits, the game is on to never have a job again. But because they need drugs in their blood to maximise their pay-out, they smoke a little crack, and soon become addicted. It's the kind of premise the show returns to again and again: the comedy of worst-case scenarios. But while it's black humour and plot make for a great show, you can't help but roll your eyes at how these guys always manage to completely mess up.

I love Stephen King and music festivals; I eat my toast upside down; I daydream about getting married probably a bit too much; and I wish every day for a pet sausage dog puppy (who never materialises – sob).
