14th Doctor Who: 10 Actors Who Could Play Russell T. Davies’ Doctor

Now here’s a casting suggestion that never really saw the light of day until the Russell 2: Electric Boogaloo announcement.

Most commonly recognised for her roles in The Haunting of Bly Manor and Sex Education, Miller has also appeared in RTD’s Years and Years, which is the main reason she’s up for consideration here.

Miller has also appeared in the show briefly, as a Time Lord no less, playing the Eleventh incarnation of The General after The Doctor shoots his fellow Time Lord dead in Hell Bent. She didn’t really have much of a role, making a quip about male ego and then standing and watching The Doctor and Clara for a bit, so reusing Miller wouldn’t cause any major issues.

Could she deliver as The Doctor? Maybe, with strong writing that played to her strengths - something that RTD is certainly capable of. If Russell is looking to cast someone he’s worked with before, Miller is certainly amongst the more likely suggestions.
