12. Jeffrey Epstein: Filthy Rich

This documentary was in the works for several months preceding Epstein's arrest. It was written by novelist James Patterson, a one-time neighbour of Epstein's. The four episode mini series is a highly detailed look at the impact of his crimes, though offers little in the way of new information relating to his death.

Rather, this series focuses on the legacy of the pain that Epstein brought to people. Using interviews with survivors to frame the piece, it never strays far from the damage that he visited on women. It is also certain in depicting that he did not work alone and that his activities were known to many.

Only the final episode truly deals with his death, highlighting some of the conspiracy theories that have arisen following his hanging. Whether or not it was a suicide will continue to be debated for some time to come, though compelling evidence is presented that suggests he was given more opportunity to kill himself than should have been, a result perhaps of under-funded and apathetic guards.

One thing that is clear in the telling is that, though Epstein himself has died, the actions that he undertook are still very much occuring. He is described by one of the surivovrs as a small part of a bigger problem. There is a certain feeling by the end of this series that there is more out there.
