The CW

Initially an offshoot of the Arrowverse, Supergirl burst onto screens back in 2015 when it was watched by almost 14 million people and it has since been officially welcomed into The CW's umbrella of superhero shows taking place within that one universe.

Centering on the adventures of DC Comics legend Kara Zor-El - y'know, the other last-known survivor of Krypton - the show has seen the Girl of Steel deal with the residual effects of losing her home planet while trying to make her new home, Earth, feel that much safer for those of us that inhabit it.

Over the years, Melissa Benoist's lovable heroine has dealt with threats from Krypton, rebellious human fear-mongers and an even apocalyptic demon warrior that sought to bring about the end of days. And even though some of the alien stuff was a little murky in the beginning, the writing has matured as its gotten older, allowing it to authentically portray some surprisingly human stories.

You won't find a more fun superhero show on the air than Supergirl and with the show set to head into its sixth season, the skies aren't even the limit for the Girl of Steel.
