Relentlessly funny, with a sharp eye for the complexities of fame, the pitfalls of missed opportunities and the power of enduring friendship, the series was recently renewed for a second season, and is the kind of once-a-year idea that promises to only get more daring and popular as time goes on.

Aside from the humour and astute observations about life, Girls5eva is also more than worth the ride for the cast alone, which is made up by Busy Philips, Paula Pell, Sara Bareilles and Hamilton alum Renee Elise Goldsberry, all of whom - in a sane world - would be major contenders next award season.
