8. Clara Jumps Into The Doctor's Time Stream... But How The Hell Did She Get Back Out?
You know that increasingly annoying thing that Steven Moffat does wherein he hits us with an almighty cliffhanger which he resolves in the next episode by moving the story without any plausible resolution? Never has it been more frustrating than in The Day of the Doctor which conveniently decided to overlook the formidable fact that our heroes had been trapped inside the Doctor's time stream at the end of the last episode. Yes, the 50th anniversary special had slightly bigger fish to fry (most notably John Hurt, who had just been revealed as a secret incarnation of the Doctor that nobody had ever known about), but surely it would've taken all of 5 seconds to explain how Eleven and Clara managed to escape such a sticky situation? The continuation of a cliffhanger is supposed to tell us what happened next, not what happened months later when the Doctor's travelling on his own and Clara's suddenly working as a teacher. Luckily, Doctor Who fans are good at filling in the blanks.
