9. River Is Revealed As Amy's Daughter... And Amy Is Totally OK With It
Life as the Doctor's coveted companion is hard enough at the best of times but it was even more turbulent for Amy and Rory who got tongues wagging -
*ahem* - when they conceived their first child aboard the TARDIS before contending with the emotional trauma of having her abducted at birth to be raised into a psychopathic Time Lord killing machine. Or something like that, anyway. But, as the amicable heroes they are, they took it all in their stride. In fact, they weren't even phased by the Earth shattering revelation that River Song had actually been their daughter all along and, when viewers rejoined them two months later, they'd seemingly come to terms with the life changing alteration. Oh, and the discovery that their childhood friend, Mels, had been River all along, too? Meh. Pretty blasé about the whole thing, really. To make matters worse, the episode Night Terrors was pushed back to Series 6: Part 2 which meant that it contained absolutely no reference to the preceding drama that had dominated the last two episodes. And you thought River's timeline was confusing!
