6. The Dean's Costume Montage

If there are three things Dean Pelton loves, they're inserting his name into sentences where it doesn't belong, Jeff Winger, and entering the study room wearing a funny costume. In nearly every episode of the second or third season, he, at some point, bursts in on the study group wearing some dumb costume to announce irrelevant news.

Season 2's Paradigms of Human Memory dedicates an entire montage to this running gag, and, of course, it's hilarious. In a flashback, we see Pelton dressed as Catwoman, a classical composer, a bumblebee, Julius Caesar, and DEAN-a Turner. Each costume is more eccentric than the last, and whatever announcement he makes with each has absolutely no bearing on anything whatsoever, and was most likely just an excuse to show off his costume.

Without this costume montage, other hilarious Dean costume moments, such as his peanut bar apology rap and wearing about seventeen costumes at once in the finale, would never have happened.
