15 Greatest American Horror Story Characters
7. Tate Langdon
There wouldn't be an anti-Christ, or an Apocalypse at all if not for Evan Peters' first ever character in American Horror Story, and easily the MVP of Murder House, Tate Langdon. There are few souls as demented, cursed, or broken as that of Tate.
After going on a killing spree through his high school, ending the life of ... people, the teenager was gunned down by police in his bedroom, forcing him to live on forever as a ghost, unable to ever leave the titular house. This would be just the beginning of his suffering.
When Violet moved in, Tate found someone he could connect to more than ever in his young life, and not being able to be with her properly tore him apart.
Though a mass murderer, a part of Tate genuinely thought he was doing something noble for those he killed, allowing them to be free of the horrors of the world. Deep down, Tate is a mess of confusion and fear, that with no true role model or outlet, turned into anger and rage.
