Kubrick. Spielberg. Fukunaga. Does any more need to be said?

Napoleon is one of the projects worked on by the late, great Stanley Kubrick in the 1960s - often referred to as his 'greatest never-made film' - centring on the famous French Emperor Napoleon Bonparte, and his struggle to bring Europe under his control.

Kubrick spent years researching the movie, but never actually got to make it, partly due to the release of films War & Peace and Waterloo. However, his estate have now made the archives, which are said to contain a vast number of words and images on the man, to HBO, with it set to be turned into a miniseries. Cary Fukunaga, who directed the superb first season of True Detective, is on-board to direct, while Steven Spielberg - who had plans to make the show a few years ago - will executive produce.
