8. She Was Going To Star In A Cancelled 2009 Richard Linklater Movie
In what would certainly have been a dream role for the actress had it come to fruition, Dennings very nearly worked with acclaimed Boyhood director Richard Linklater back in 2009 on a movie project called Liars (A-E). The plot revolved around a woman (to be played by Rebecca Hall) on a road trip with her friend (Dennings) as they headed to watch President Obama's inauguration while collecting lost items from several of the woman's ex-boyfriends along the way. It's easy to see how this would've fit Linklater's strengths as a writer-director, but sadly the project died during Miramax's downsizing in 2009, and nobody seems particularly interested in shopping it around to other studios. What a shame.
