Can ya smell what The Rock is cookin? Its a new show from HBO, and starring Dwayne Johnson himself. That alone is surely enough cause for excitement. Its billed as a comedy, and focuses on retired football star Spencer Strassmore (Johnson) acting as a mentor to the younger generation. Its drawn early comparisons to Entourage, and the promise of seeing Johnson in anything is always an exciting one - even when the films bad he tends to be entertaining, and itll be good to see him working from a more comedic script (SNL is proof he can definitely handle it). Meanwhile, HBO is the home for prestige shows at the moment, so hopes are certainly high for this one.
