Focusing on the rise of King Tutankhamun, this is being billed as a six-hour, three-night epic event series. Itll follow Tut on his journey from a small boy to becoming the King of Egypt, and all the power plays, political machinations, back-stabbing, war and death that come with trying to rule an empire. It looks impressive in its efforts to recreate Egypt circa 1300BC, and boasts a cast to match. Avan Jogia, as the titular character, is largely unknown, but theres two Game of Thrones alumni in Alexander Siddig (Doran Martell) and Nonso Anozie (Xaro Xhoan Daxos). Oh, and some guy by the name of Sir Ben Kingsley
NCTJ-qualified journalist. Most definitely not a racing driver. Drink too much tea; eat too much peanut butter; watch too much TV. Sadly only the latter paying off so far.
A mix of wise-old man in a young man's body with a child-like wonder about him and a great otherworldly sensibility.
