Comedian and actor Dennis Leary has created and will star in this show, which aside from setting a record for most ampersands used in a title will follow his ageing rock star - called Johnny Rock - in getting the band back together. Back in the early 90s, Rocks rock-band The Heathens were on the cusp of big things: they were gaining fame for their lives shows, and infamy for their excessive drug use, and their debut album was highly-anticipated. Then on the day of the albums release the band broke up, after guitarist Flash (John Corbett) found his bandmate in bed with his wife. 25 years later, Rock is jobless and moneyless when talented young singer Gigi shows up and is willing to pay to reunite band, with the twist being that she is the lead singer, and Rock stays behind-the-scenes. Much like The Heathens, it sounds as though it many not take things too seriously, but will be determined to give you a good time.
NCTJ-qualified journalist. Most definitely not a racing driver. Drink too much tea; eat too much peanut butter; watch too much TV. Sadly only the latter paying off so far.
A mix of wise-old man in a young man's body with a child-like wonder about him and a great otherworldly sensibility.
