The first of two HBO comedies to feature on this list, and the one thats likely to be played more for outright laughs, The Brink is set to centre on a geopolitical crisis in Pakistan that threatens to kick-start World War III. The man charged with preventing this is Jack Black. Basically, the world is screwed. Helping Blacks foreign service officer will be Tim Robbins, as the US Secretary of State, and Pablo Schreiber (Pornstache to Orange Is The New Black fans), wholl be a drug-dealing Navy officer. Its been set up so that further seasons will feature the same characters tackling a different crisis, if this one is a success anyway. With HBO behind it and a big name cast in it, plus the fact it does look pretty funny, that shouldnt be an issue.
