From the first time Uncle Phil threw Jazz out of the house, we knew he meant business. But what we didn't know at the time was that Jazz's aerial ejection would become a regular occurrence at the Banks residence. The act surely inspired frustrated fathers all over the world to reclaim their abode from their children's irritating friends.
2. He Treated Will Like His Own Son
Who could forget the moment when Uncle Phil consoled Will after his deadbeat father Lou walked out of his life for the second time? The compelling love-hate relationship between Phil and Will was the absolute essence of Fresh Prince, and was firmly at the heart of all six of its seasons. After those six years (during which Will spent much of the time grounded), Will was no longer just an irksome nephew to Philip, as illustrated in the series finale, when he lovingly reminds Will that he will always be his son.
