Without the actor's compelling performance as the titular character, there would be no Arrowverse, (it's only named after his character after all), none of the incredible characters that came with it, and no Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover.

Amell's gritty, almost grumpy take on the character suits the tone of the DC landscape, and particularly juxtaposed brilliantly when opposite the likes of Grant Gustin and Melissa Benoist, capturing the solemn and serious nature of a man who has been through the trials such as Oliver's.

The character's journey finally came to an end in Crisis on Infinite Earths, allowing Stephen Amell an emotional goodbye, not only from Oliver to his fellow heroes, but from the actor himself to his friends and colleagues. You can't help but get emotional and respect the commitment to the character and the performance.
