20 Best TV Shows Of 2021

4. Blindspotting

Made For Love
Starz

The spin-off sequel to the 2018 movie of the same name, Blindspotting follows the film's supporting figure Ashley as she struggles to adapt to life after her boyfriend is sent to prison.

Forced to move in with her boyfriend's family, Ashley attempts to navigate her latest personal hiccup in increasingly chaotic, hilarious ways. Like many of the year's best shows, Blindspotting maintains a perfect sense of tone despite its twisting genre tropes and lofty themes.

Anchored throughout by the flawless performance of Jasmine Cephas-Jones and its tightly plotted writing, the series effortlessly juggles every twisting aspect of Ashley's amusing, raging, and heartbreaking journey.

It's rare that a spin-off overshadows its source material, but Blindspotting pulls it off from the first frame, and makes it look easy.

I get to write about what I love, so that's pretty cool. Every great film should seem new every time you see it. Be excellent to each other.
