The Show: For some Father Ted - the misadventures of three Roman Catholic priests who live in a parish on the fictional Craggy Island, located off the west coast of Ireland - represents the pinnacle of British comedy. Running for only three series, the show ended at the absolute peak of its hilarity when actor Dermot Morgan tragically died of a heart attack at only 45 years old.
