11. Paintballing - Spaced

The Show: Probably more autobiographical than Simon Pegg would like to admit, Spaced tells the story of Tim and Daisy, two hopelessly life-weary twenty-somethings posing as professional couple in order to rent a flat. Directed by Edgar Wright (yep, the man who went on to do Scott Pilgrim vs The World, Shaun of The Dead and Ant-Man), the show became a loving and hilarious ode to the sorely under-represented geek culture of the early millennium.

The Setup: After bumping into the man who stole his girlfriend at a paint-balling course, Tim goes one on one with his greatest rival in a gloriously over-dramatic and hilariously delivered war movie reenactment. Featuring series regulars (and now stars in their own right) Nick Frost and Peter Serafinowicz, the scene perfectly encapsulates both the unique visual style of the direction, and the gloriously hammy acting of the cast.
