20 Greatest Season Cliffhangers In TV History

14. Alias - Season 4 Finale (Before The Flood)

The greatest J.J. Abrams series (sorry Lost), his spy show Alias was filled with many twists and turns. Sometimes it didn't even wait for the season finale to throw a series-changing curve ball at the audience; Francie being killed by 'evil Francie' mid season two still stands out as one of the show's most shocking moments. But its finales always delivered too and season four's blew audiences' minds, taking four years of story lines and tossed them on their head. After the surprise return of Sidney's mother Irina, the dramatic events with Rambaldi's red sphere over Sovogda and the eventual defeat of her even more evil aunt Elena, Vaughan and Sidney finally got that romantic getaway they had been planning as far back as season two. But it was to end in tragedy as he revealed one secret after another. He might actually be a bad guy. It was no mistake he met Sidney four years ago and his name wasn't Michael Vaughan. As audience's jaws dropped the show pulled the 'truck crushing into the side of the car' trick and the season ended. It was an excruciating wait for season five and the answers everyone was looking for. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2xqhywlG8dM
