Murderhouse American Horror Story

Luckily for all you film and TV location lovers out there, the Murder House from Season One is a real location. The House is located at 1120 Weschester Place is Los Angeles and was put up for sale in 2013, at a staggering $7.8m but is now down to $4.45 million as of May this year. In the real world it is known as the Rosenheim Mansion and similar to the Murder House€™s construction in the first season, the house was built in 1908 by architect Alfred Rosenheim as his own residence. At the time, around the early part of the 20th century, Rosenheim was one of the leading architects in California and built places such as the H.W. Hellman Building and the Eugene W. Britt House. The house has also played major roles in a whole host of other TV shows, including Buffy the Vampire Slayer where it starred as a frat house in the Halloween special €œFear, Itself.€ Interestingly, that episode has all the worst fears of the cast coming to life in the house in all manner of horror tropes, similar to what was occurring in the house in American Horror Story.
