20 More TV Shows That Are Practically Flawless

7. Scrubs

Much like How I Met Your Mother, there's something oddly underappreciated about Scrubs, which probably boils down to the fact that it lost its way toward the end, and became too preoccupied with its daydreaming subplots than its moving and wacky medical drama - but that was only for a little while before it turned it all around for a killer ending.

Following the residency of quirky doctor J.D (a career-high Zach Braff) as he and his friends both new and old navigate the hardships of hospital life, the comedy-drama found enlightening and hopeful ways to look at failed romances, personal loss, and death.

Never shying away from the heavy stuff, Scrubs' best feature was its formula, which was at once surreal and poignant, and its cast, which included a charismatic Donald Faison, and a scene-stealing John C. McGinley, whose complex Dr. Cox perfectly captured the show's balance of the heartbreaking and the hysterical.

Aidan Whatman hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
