20 More TV Shows That Are Practically Flawless
13. Archer
Animated series don't tend to get the same love as live-action shows (just look at the major award ceremonies), and that really is baffling when the productions getting sidelined are as great as Adam Reed's ludicrously witty and inventive spy comedy Archer.
Set in an unspecified time and centred around the antics of the spy agency ISIS, the series primarily focusses on superspy Sterling Archer, an alcoholic, womaniser, and seemingly unkillable agent constantly at odds with his colleagues, especially his mother and boss Mallory.
Produced with digital animation and increasingly bonkers thanks to its bizarre ensemble and surreal missions, Archer is best watched for its voice cast - which includes H. Jon Benjamin in the title role - and dry humour, which is as hysterically funny as it is dark and uniquely witty.
