12. Let's Face It, The 900 Year Old Doctor Is A Garden Gnome
Series 3's epic Last of the Time Lords finale had few embarrassingly strange moments, but the one it did have was a real doozy. The Master zaps the Doctor with his laser screwdriver a second time, speed-ageing the Doctor until his body is 900 years old. And the result? After yet more embarrassing speeded-up thrashing about, "Space Gandalf" becomes a... garden gnome. Because incredibly old Time Lords are tiny(?) which is one off-the-wall idea that also happens to be just plain naff. What were the production team thinking? Nobody will ever know.
