David Tennant is often cited as one of the most popular Doctors of all time and his Converse wearing incarnation went out the only way he knew how, with an almighty bang. It was the end of a colossal era in The End of Time as he bid a heartbreaking farewell to all of his companions. Returning to the TARDIS alone, he muttered the now immortal words, "I don't want to go" before disappearing before our eyes in flames of unadulterated glory. And the nation wept. And wept. And wept.
