Long before Twin Peaks-the show- with its complex characters and continual story arcs foretold a Golden Age of US Television which would see countless DVD box sets bought, wrapped in plastic, Twin Peaks- the town- was rocked with the discovery of the body of Laura Palmer, wrapped in plastic. Pete Martell's line to the Sheriff proclaiming such has become as iconic as the pilot episode itself and whilst not the actual first line of the series, (Goin Fishin' has that accolade), it was the singular line which started it all. Placing Cling Film around your sandwiches was never the same again!
5. BOB
You'd be forgiven for thinking a central antagonist with the name Bob might be a bit of an in-joke scribed by Frost and Lynch, in reference to characters with the name Bob usually being dorky, awkward or just weird. Whilst Killer BOB retains the weird aspect of his name, anything but outright fear upon the image of BOB is grossly missing the point. With the long grey hair, howling laughter and freaky, long face, there's no character on TV in history quite alike BOB. He's a horror show of a villain truly worthy of David Lynch's vivid imagination.
Betting on being a brilliant brother to Bodhi since 2008 (-1 Asian Handicap). Find me @LiamJJohnson on Twitter where you might find some wonderful pearls of wisdom in a stout cocktail of profanity, football discussion and general musings. Or you might not. Depends how red my eyes are.
