20 Things You Didn't Know About Gilmore Girls
19. Theme Song Producer Carole King Had A Small Role In The Series
All fans are familiar with the heart-warming theme song of Gilmore Girls ‘Where You Lead’. Originally written by Carole King in the early 1970s, it was revived for the dramedy show with the lyrics changed and very fittingly, performed by a mother-daughter duo.
Carole King herself would later feature in the Gilmore Girls series as the miserable Sophie Bloom who owns the Stars Hollows music store. Although she is cold and distant to musician Lane Kim at first, she eventually warms to her and lets her practice at her shop in secret because of Lane’s genuine passion for music. She can also be seen in the Summer chapter of the 2016 revival.
