22 TV Shows You Didn't Know Were In The Doctor Who Universe

4. Knight Rider & Team Knight Rider - The Legend Of Dr Jackson Roykirk

We'll move on the greater mysteries behind Weyland-Yutani on the next page, but let's first talk about Knight Rider... the show featuring David Hasselhoff as Michael Knight and Kitt, the coolest talking car in television history. How does this 80's action cheese-fest have anything to do with the voyage of the Starship Enterprise? Let's head back to 1970 and the second season of Star Trek. The crew of the USS Enterprise locate a 21st century space probe called NOMAD, created by artificial intelligence pioneer Dr Jackson Roykirk. That very same Dr Jackson Roykirk appeared in failed Knight Rider spin off, Team Knight Rider, the 21st century pioneer behind a fleet of talking cars with their own artificial intelligence. Now all we need is an episode featuring a conversation between Majel Barrett's Enterprise computer and Kitt.
