25 Greatest Sci-Fi TV Shows Of All Time

20. Orphan Black

Another recurring theme that tends to make its presence felt in the genre is that of cloning and the issues of morality that the respective show/film ultimately addresses, and as far as recent examples of that go, look no further than Orphan Black.

Taking place after protagonist Sarah Manning witnesses the suicide of a woman who looks identical to her, the show documents her journey as she attempts to learn more about who that mysterious woman was and why she looked like her.

What follows is a tale of intrigue, deception and survival as Sarah soon learns that she and this woman weren't the only ones to share her face - something that makes her an innocent target in a war on clones.

From the central mystery surrounding Sarah's origins to the questions that the show raises, Orphan Black is a never-ending thrill-ride that offers its own contribution to an overcrowded genre and, in the process, gives Tatiana Maslany multiple chances to absolutely blow audiences away.
