25 WORST Episodes Of Star Trek EVER

6. These Are The Voyages - Enterprise

Star Trek Enterprise
CBS

Quite a lot has already been said about this episode and it is not without its defenders. There are absolutely positive elements to it, not least being Archer and T'Pol's last exchange before he begins his speech to the assembled masses. It is always seeing Frakes and Sirtis on screen together and there's even a cheeky cameo by Brent Spiner (see if you can spot it!)

Yet, this was to be the last episode of Enterprise, wrapping up the show after its abrupt cancellation. Framing the episode as a holodeck story that the audience knows will not affect Riker's decision is disrespectful to the cast of Enterprise, who had spent four years establishing their characters and arcs, only to become a footnote at the end of their own story.

Added to that, the entirely pointless death (no spoilers, just in case) that was thrown in just comes out of nowhere and for no good reason, other than to potentially hammer home the idea that the show was over.

It was a sour and sad ending to the show that had been gaining so much traction throughout its third and fourth seasons. To think that this was the way that the show would end after they had spent an entire season fighting the Xindi or had just overcome xenophobic extremists - it is best left off the rewatch pile, and Terra Prime should be considered the show's true ending.
