25 WORST Episodes Of Star Trek EVER

22. Precious Cargo - Enterprise

Star Trek Precious Cargo
CBS

It's not the worst episode of Enterprise but it really isn't that far off. It starts with an interesting premise and then quickly devolves into a gruelling experience where you simply just want to get to the end so you never have to sit through it again.

There's a princess and Tucker and something about transporting her and frankly, the Next Generation did it a lot better in The Perfect Mate (creepy sentiments about that entire plotline aside). Padma Lakshmi gives it her all as the guest star of the week and Conner Trinneer is usually an excellent addition to any scene he's in.

It just falls entirely flat, start to finish. The comedy never really rises and there's never a true sense of drama. The bickering between the two characters is cliched and the inevitable 'they hate each other now they love each other' plot device is groan inducing. This episode is one of the finest examples of why Enterprise gets a bad reputation, taking away from other, much stronger examples of the show.

Looking for a saving grace is hard in this one - there's a good scene between T'Pol and Archer. That's it. If you want poorly written dialogue acted by wooden performances, then this is the hour for you. Otherwise, set an escape course, maximum speed.
