30 Stars You Forgot Appeared On The X-Files

13. R. Lee Ermey

The most famous drill sergeant of all time, R. Lee Ermey, known for films like Full Metal Jacket and Seven, turned up on The X-Files in the religious-themed episode Revelations, which aired in season three. If you've forgotten, that's the episode that turned the series on its head, portraying Scully as the believer, and Mulder as the skeptic. Ermey has made a career out of playing gruff military figures, but in his X-Files outing, he instead took on a different role, as a reverend faking stigmata - and finds himself assassinated for it, by a killer looking to murder real stigmatics. The episode also featured a couple of other actors you might recognize: Kenneth Welsh, well known to Twin Peaks fans, and horror stalwart Michael Berryman, of The Hills Have Eyes fame.
