5 Reasons Breaking Bad Will Be Sorely Missed On TV

4. Befitting Music

6139_25 Much like the outstandingly vivid manner in the way the show looks, it would be all for not if the music didn't strike the right chord from scene to scene. Thankfully, Breaking Bad doesn't disappoint with it's soundtrack, creating the right pulse for key moments, but many of the actual songs the show's creators have decided to splice into different episodes literally fit like a glove. One of the more recent episodes, from part one of season five, had the tune "Crystal Blue Persuasion" by Tommy James and The Shondells blaring over a sequence of Walt and his new partner Todd, cooking another batch of the crystal blue meth. Does it get any more appropriate than that in the music department? Another stand out was the opening song to a season three episode, Full Measures, in which the character of Wendy is out and about near a slum motel in Albuquerque, making money in the only way she see's fit, all the while the catchy 60's tune, "Windy", by The Association plays over the raunchy festivities. Just another example of the right musical choices at just the right time for what you're seeing unfold on screen. This is also by far the first series I've ever watched where I found myself looking up exact song titles and artist names for songs I've heard (or some I've never heard before) in a variety of episodes. That about sums up how important and powerful the music has been in shaping the series from soup to nuts. This is another key element of many I will truly miss after the show's final curtain call. Let's take a look at another crucial component that makes this show so beloved and ultimately missed before it even goes off the air...
