5 Reasons Why Family Guy Should Be Cancelled

5. It Can't Even Come Up With Original Ideas Anymore

Familyguybriandead Everyone has been talking about Family Guy this week, following show-creator Seth MacFarlane's decision to kill off one of its main characters - Brian Griffin - in Sunday night's season 12 episode 'Life of Brian'. The talking dog was trending on micro-social networking site Twitter by Monday and the show's writer's reasoning to kill him off being "to shake things up" appeared to have paid off. More cynical viewers suggest the decision to kill Brian was made in order to one-up rival show The Simpsons, who back in October, announced they were going to bump off one of their main characters. MacFarlane's decision to axe Brian smacks of desperation and a lack of ideas. If you have to kill one of your main characters just to boost ratings, you know times are bad.
