5 Reasons Lord Of The Rings Is Better Than Game Of Thrones

4. The Big Screen Is Bigger And Better

LOTR_ReturnoftheKing One of the strongest magnetic pulls Rings has is the incredibly imaginative world it's set in. In order to fall in love with the central heros and follow them without question, you will need to have your mind fully open and your imagination amped up to the max. Luckily for lovers of fantasy, Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings doesn't include any anal sex between siblings (please no Frodo/Sam jabs here guys), baby-killing and nipple-tearing. If it had any of this, every studio would've waved it out of the boardroom and it would either not exist or would find itself on TV, looking like crap. Since Lord of the Rings is very PG friendly from start to finish, Jackson was able to get a massive budget and thus do justice to the wondrous world created by J.R.R. Tolkien on the big screen, the only place it could fit outside the covers of a book. With the magic of WETA and its perfect cast; the grandeur of Middle Earth and its array of races, colorful geography and bombastic battles is a testament for the fantasy genre. On the other side of the pond, Game Of Thrones impresses with its limited television budget but can't show battles in their entirety. Don't even try to compare one of Dany's dragons to, well, any creature in Lord of the Rings. You'd lose by default.
