35. Lois- Malcolm in the Middle

lois Lois is the long suffering matriarch of the Wilkerson household and by being the only woman- this is no mean feat. She has a dominant personality and she can't take it when things are out of control, as a result of this- she has Malcolm's life already planned out for him. Her neighbors also greatly despise her yet she doesn't let this bother her.

34. Frank Pike- Dad's Army

pike Pike was the local bank's junior clerk before joining the Local Defense Volunteers. He is a mummy's boy and often lives in fear of her and it is common for Pike to threaten to set his mother on his Commanding Officer or whenever he is forced to do something he doesn't want to do.

33. Phil Dunphy- Modern Family

Phil Dunphy Modern Family is a wonderful mix of character portraits, basing its successful comedy on the dynamics between each character and the often awkward manner in which so many diverse characters inter-mingle. And while the other characters might be given the more important storylines to play with, it is Phil Dunphy, committed but not wholly successful father, needy son-in-law and general all-round clod who makes the list for the strength of the performance and the fact that he is far and away the funniest character of the entire show.

31. Charlie Harper- Two and a Half Men

He is burdened with his brother Alan and nephew Jake after his Alan's marriage breaks down and sees Alan as a sponge, though he does care for him deep down. He shares a strong resentment for his mother, often avoiding her at all costs and is characterized by his fashion sense- a bowling shirt and cargo shorts.
