1. The Disappearer
For a character with such little screen time, Ed - also known as The Disappearer - commands a tremendous amount of intrigue among Breaking Bad fans. How did a mild-manner vacuum repairman come to operate a clandestine service for criminals seeking new lives with under new identities? Surely this is a question Gilligan and co could answer without much risk of diluting the parent show. As well as delving into Eds background, perhaps the series could focus on a different criminal each week, delving into why they need to vanish and pitting the protagonist with the challenge of making it happen. His clients list might be a little anti-climactic, though, given that Heisenberg was the hottest he ever had by far. That said, the possibilities are endless here. One idea that springs to mind: a wayward youth discovers that there's more to Ed than his humble day job, leaving the Disappearer with a tough decision to make - should he send him to Belize to protect his secret? But seeing potential in the youngster, he decides to train him up as his successor instead. The pair's mentor-student relationship could mirror that of Walt and Jesse's in the parent series. Even though the show would be set in a vacuum repair shop, there's no way it could possibly suck.
