Late Night with Jimmy Fallon isn't the first late night talk show to use pre-taped segments, but it's made them a major part of the show like few others have. Video series like
Late, a Lost spoof, and
6-bee, a Glee spoof, are just two of the many frequently popping up on the show. Recently, the popular PBS miniseries Downton Abbey has inspired a new series,
Downton Sixbey, and some big names show up in the first couple episodes. My favorite segment the show has successfully returned to is
Head Swap, in which a simple assignment turns dark and disturbing while the catchy theme song keeps playing. Fallon has many talented people working for him, so the videos always turn out great, and being so close to Saturday Night Live means he's never short on cast.
