6 Ups & 3 Downs From The Arrowverse In 2020

3. Batwoman's Post-Crisis Improvement

Batwoman Season 1 Finale
The CW

While anything better than its trailer would have been considered a triumph, Batwoman's successful beginning in the latter half of 2019 still felt a little flat when compared to the openers of almost every other Arrowverse offering. It was good and entertaining, but it didn't feel like it was all that gripping. And then the Crisis happened.

Following Crisis On Infinite Earths, the show came out swinging, continuing the upward trajectory it had begun late in the first half of the season, and that ultimately took it to a whole new level.

The extended focus on Alice, the compelling dynamic between the warring sisters and overall hunt for the weapon that could destroy the Batsuit imbued Batwoman with more grit and thrills than before, ensuring that it produced the Arrowverse's best half-season this year. It's just a shame that Rose won't get to finish the arc in the second season.
