5. The One Where She Dates Mark After Adamantly Denying Ever Having A Thing For Him When She Was With Ross
Mark was Rachel's old work colleague who Ross hated as he was positive he had a thing for Rachel while the pair were working together despite Rachel adamant their relationship was purely professional. Nevertheless, Ross and Rachel broke up after another argument over Mark's influence on their own relationship, which was largely just Ross' jealously of him, but also the fact Rachel had no time for Ross in her new job. However, when Rachel calls Ross up to attempt to make up with him, Ross realises Mark is at the apartment, so he hangs up the phone as a result. Knowing how much Ross hates Mark, it certainly wasn't clever for him to be in the apartment with Rachel when she's trying to convince her boyfriend that the pair don't have a thing for each other. It gets worse just a few episodes later as Mark admits to having feelings for Rachel which was pretty obvious to everyone bar her and the pair even go on a date together. They cross paths with Ross in the hallway and don't utter a word to each other. How Rachel would even think it was a good idea is beyond me.
